Real Madrid attacker Denis Cheryshev has joined Villarreal on a permanent deal after spending the last half season on loan at the Mestalla playing for Valencia.
Denis Cheryshev spent the whole of the 2014/2015 season playing for the Yellow Submarines where he impressed and was rewarded with a call back by Real Madrid for the 2015/2016 season. However, the player was loaned out to Valencia during the course of the season and has now returned to El Madrigal, as confirmed by Real Madrid and Villarreal.
Villarreal will pay €7 million for the player and has signed a 5-year contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2021.
Villarreal will be competing in Europe next season and are already planning on improving their squad. With youngster Denis Suarez set to return to FC Barcelona, the club sees Denis Cheryshev as a perfect replacement.
Denis Cheryshev is a Russian winger who spent 14 years at Real Madrid, a youth product of the club. He played in 8 La Liga games last season scoring 3 goals.
