Nigeria striker, Odion Ighalo, has been named the Barclays Premier League Player of the Month for December.
Also Watford coach Quique Sanchez Flores has been rewarded for the Hornets’ remarkable form in December by winning the Premier League manager of the month award.
Flores’ side took 10 points from five fixtures in the final month of 2015, including victories over Norwich, Sunderland and Liverpool.
Ighalo, who scored an impressive 29 goals in 2015, including 13 in the Premier League in his debut top-flight season, was the standout player for the promoted side, netting five times, including a brace in the 3-0 win over Liverpool at Vicarage Road.
A draw at Chelsea followed four wins in a row including the victory at Aston Villa at the end of November, before Watford finished the year with a last-ditch loss at home to Spurs.
Ighalo beat off competition off competition from the likes of Mesut Ozil to win the prestigious award.
Watford are 11 points clear of Sunderland who occupy the final relegation place, and just seven points behind Spurs who sit fourth.
Flores, Ighalo and co will travel to relegation-threatened Swansea on Monday evening looking to get back to winning ways.
