Having scored 30 goals in 75 games in all competition this year, Nigeria Super Eagles and Watford FC striker Odion Ighalo has won the bragging rights as the top scorer in England for 2015.

Ighalo’s 41st minute strike at Vicarage road yesterday, December 28, took his tally this year to 30 goals, making him the highest goal scorer in England’s top tiers in 2015.

Although his team, Watford went down 2-1 to Tottenham Hotspurs, Ighalo is on a red-hot streak, scoring in all six of his latest Premier League games, including a brace at home to Liverpool and a deflected effort against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Nigeria Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has won the bragging rights as the top scorers in England for 2015 having scored 30 goals in 2015.

He is the first ever Watford player to score in six consecutive English top flight games.

Ighalo has 14 goals already in the English Premier League season after 19 games. He scored 16 goals from 18 games while in the Championship.

The energetic striker beat Tottenham Hotspurs talisman Harry Kane who finished on 29 goals to earn the bragging rights.

An excited Ighalo took to Social media (Twitter) to thank teammate Troy Deeney, family and God for finishing the year strong.

“Thanks to God,My family,My team mates for a great 2015 and most especially @T_Deeney who assisted me in scoring 30,” he said.

Meanwhile, there are indications that Odion Ighalo could be on his way out of England as Spanish giants Athletico Madrid have reportedly shown interest in the Nigerian.
