EPL: Ighalo saves Watford as Mikel marks game no. 350

Odion Ighalo became the first Watford player to score in five consecutive matches since the formation of the Premier League when he found the net in the 56th minute as the Hornets drew 2 – 2 with Chelsea.

The Super Eagles striker went the distance while teammate Ikechi Anya hopped off the bench in the 73rd minute of the encounter at Stamford Bridge.

John Obi Mikel made his 350th appearance in the colours of Chelsea after he came on at the start of the second half.

Peter Odemwingie missed Stoke City’s 2 – 0 win against Manchester United as he is recovering from a thigh muscle strain. But he is nearing a return to full fitness after featuring for the Potters U21s versus Fulham.

Jordon Ibe was not involved in Liverpool’s 1 – 0 win over table toppers Leicester City at Anfield. It would have been his 15th appearance in the top – flight if he had featured.

England international Dele Alli notched an assist in Tottenham Hotspur’s 3 – 0 rout of Norwich City. He was replaced in the 79th minute while teammate Josh Onomah wasn’t included in the squad.

Flying Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho wasn’t included in the Manchester City squad in their 4 – 1 hammering of Sunderland at the Etihad.

West Brom number 10 Victor Anichebe watched proceedings from the bench in his side’s 1 – 0 loss to Swansea City.

Victor Moses is still recovering from injury and did not travel with the Hammers squad to Birmingham for the clash with Aston Villa but Italy international Angelo Ogbonna played the full game for the Londoners.

Gabby Agbonlahor remains frozen out of the Villa squad. 1 – 1 it ended at Villa Park.
