Alex Iwobi To Train With Arsenal First Team Ahead Southampton Clash

Super Eagles striker Alex Iwobi is in the frame to make his second Premier League appearance for Arsenal during the busy festive season.

The Hale End Academy product was one of the six youth – teamers invited to train with the Gunners first team on Christmas Day ahead of their trip to the St. Mary’s Stadium, where they face Southampton.

Iwobi, 19, was an unused substitute in Arsenal’s last Premier League fixture against Manchester City, the fourth time he has managed to make the 18 – man squad this term.

The teenager’s only Premier League appearance since his arrival at Arsenal was against Swansea City on October 31.

He has been inactive for the Londoners since December 14 when he played 73 minutes of the U21s 1 – 1 draw with West Ham.
