Super Falcons star Rasheedat Ajibade scored for Atletico Madrid in their 1-1 draw against Levante Badalona at the Estadi Municipal de Badalona, Soccernet.ng reports.
Ajibade was on the starting lineup for Atletico Madrid when they traveled to Badalona for their La Liga Femeni clash on Saturday.
Before the game, the Super Falcons star had failed to score in her last eight appearances for Atletico Madrid. Her last goal was in September 2024 in a 4-0 win over Madrid.
Against Badalona, Atletico Madrid dominated the play, and they took the lead after 16 minutes. Atletico Madrid went on a quick counter and Ajibade capitalized, collecting a pass from Fiamma Iannuzzi and sending a well-placed finish into the goal to make it 1-1.
Atletico Madrid took the lead into the break, but they took their feet off the gas in the second half. They dominated the play, but they failed to create clear-cut chances. Badalona, on the other hand, looked more dangerous, and they got the equalizer in the 58th minute courtesy of Irina Uribe.
Ajibade played the entire 90 minutes, but she failed to add to her tally, as it eventually ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
Meanwhile, in Italy, Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman could not help his Atalanta side avoid defeat as they fell to a 3-2 defeat against Napoli.
Mateo Retegui scored the opener for La Dea in the 16th minute, but Atalanta were pegged back by goals from Matteo Politano and Scott McTominay before the end of the first half.
However, Lookman scored a beauty to help Atalanta make it 2-2 in the 55th minute. He went on a mazy run after receiving the ball in the final third. Then despite being crowded between three Napoli defenders, he sent a wicked shot into the net.
Unfortunately for Atalanta, they failed to defend well and conceded again in the 78th minute, as Romelu Lukaku made it 3-2.
The game eventually ended that way, as Napoli defended well, leaving very little space for Atalanta to exploit.
