Sunday Oliseh recorded his first loss since he took over as Super Eagles coach today, as Congo defeated Nigeria 2-0.

The social media space has been buzzing ever since. Some claiming the loss was due to the inability of the coach to manage the team, while others think the players aren’t good enough.

There was also drama on the field, as Chelsea midfielder, Mikel Obi, refused to collect the captain band from substituted Ahmed Musa which Onazi later stepped up to collect.

Here are how some Nigerians reacted to the loss on social media.

Kelechionolli Nkoro (@ K1Says) said “We are rebuilding a Hole to put the dead Eagles…. Shame on everyone that supported the selection of Oliseh as Coach.”

POOJA SPORTS PR.. (@PoojaBlog) said “Struggling against Congo with 0 shots on target in the 2nd half. No purpose.”

FΣ♏Z (@FemmyFemz) said “Oliseh is better off being a pundit. His players don’t know the basics of football. They don’t play like this for their clubs”

Godwin (@godwintony17) said “don’t know who deserves more strokes of d cain d coach or d players”

Sen. Ben-10 (@Benco14) said “Giant of Africa, Pride of Africa…yet we can’t beat moi moi Congo smh”

Duke esq (@yangus82) said “Super Eagles suffering from Chelsea Syndrome. Guardiola of Africa is watching.”

SupereaglesComps (@Supereaglescomp) said “Mikel>>>> All of our players on the pitch today”

Yahaya Dauda said “Sunday Oliseh please do something about your style”

Ebeghe AdigheJi said “this is not rebuilding but dislocated”
