Aaron Samuel and his intermediary, Atta Aneke, have dismissed reports that the Guangzhou R&F forward has suffered an ankle injury.
Seven minutes into the Chinese Super League clash against Shijiazhuang Yongchang, the Nigeria international signaled to the bench that he should be substituted as he didn’t want to aggravate a knock he had just picked up.
“I am fine, nothing happened. Yes I was substituted after 7 minutes but I called for the substitution,” told allnigeriasoccer.com.[post_ad]
“I picked up a knock and didn’t want to worsen it, so I had to leave the field. I will play the next game.”
Norwegian based agent Atta Aneke added : “I am in touch with Aaron and he doesn’t have an injury. He is 100 percent okay.
“Whichever club want to sign Aaron will need to do a medical, and there’s no way an injury can be hidden.”
If we don’t take into account yesterday’s fixture, Aaron Samuel has averaged exactly 0.5 goals per game since he transferred to Guangzhou R&F from Sarpsborg 08 in summer of 2014
