Jordi Alba Wants To Retire At Barca

Barcelona left back Jordi Alba has made it clear that his future lies at Barcelona and he hopes he will hang up his boots at the club.

Alba, who joined Barca from Valencia during the summer of 2012 has only one thing in his mind – playing for FC Barcelona as long as possible.

“I only want to play for Barcelona over many, many years. When I was little, I had to leave, but finally I arrived back at where I wanted to be the whole time.

“I have learned a lot in the last three years and I have also won various trophies. Nobody can tell the future, but if it is possible, I would like to hang up my boots at Barcelona.” he said.

The Spaniard has shown loyalty to the club since signing in 2012. Standing by during difficult times and has recently signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2020.

Alba was in Hachinohe, Japan on June 24 and will meet 360 Japanese children between 26th and 28th of June, including 30 invitees from the area affected by the huge earthquake in Japan back in 2011.

Alba expressed he will be delighted to spend days with Japanese children who were crazy for about the Catalan giants.

“They say that there are many Barcelona fans in Japan. More than on a personal level, I would like us to show the collective ability of Barça and come out with good results during the tournament.” Alba enthused.
