Happy Birthday King Leo Messi

The Barcelona talisman is 28 years old today and have already marked an era of which the footballing world will never forget

On this day, 28 years ago a child was born whose destiny had already been defined by God.

Born on June 24, 1987 as one of the smallest kid, weighing just 3 kilos and measuring just 47 centimeters, Lionel Andres Luis Messi went on to become one of the greatest footballers the world has ever seen, breaking thousands of records and even creating his own – Just 28 years later.

FlyBarca use this medium to thank Jorge and Celia Messi [Messi’s Parents] for bringing such a once-in-a-lifetime talent into this world.

Ever since his birth, Lionel Messi has influenced the life of so many people, both young and old. A kid whose life was at stake at some point ended up becoming one of the greatest footballers in the history of the game whilst still playing the game.

Messi, who is now exactly 28 years old has played in 582 senior career games for club and country, scored 458 goals and provided 183 assists whilst gathering a whooping 399 wins and winning a mouth-watering 24 trophies. Adding to these numbers is a record Four Ballon d’Ors and he won them consecutively.

Messi is God-sent and it is rather unfortunate the Argentine is growing older by the day giving us limited time to watch him. Now he’s 28, next year he’d be 29 and will enter his thirties in 2 years’ time. This makes me cry honestly.

But the main thing right now is Messi is happy and we should thank God for giving us the privilege to watch him. Happy Birthday King Leo! The Happy Days Aren’t Over Yet!
