The Nigeria Football Federation have confirmed the Super Eagles will arrive in Kaduna for next month’s 2017 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier against Chad on Sunday, June 7, 2015 and will stay at the Africa Continental Hotel.
Coach Stephen Keshi, while unveiling his team’s programmes, said the Super Eagles would conclude their training in Abuja next weekend and proceed to Kaduna for the final phase of preparations ahead of the all important encounter.
Before leaving for Kaduna,the Eagles are expected to get involved in some corporate social work and also engage with their fans and the media.
“Coach Stephen Keshi wants the Super Eagles to get closer to their fans and also be more socially responsible,” Media Officer Toyin Ibitoye was quoted on the NFF website
“The team has been involved in some social work in the past but he wants them to be more visible now and he has approved some of the programmes that will make the team to be better appreciated by their fans,” Ibitoye added.
According to the programmes outlined for the Super Eagles, there will be a parley with the media at the team’s camp, Bolton White Hotels and Apartments in Abuja on Friday, June 5 at 11am while the open session with the fans and social work will hold the next day, Saturday, June 6 before the team’s training session at the National Stadium in Abuja at 7am.
The Super Eagles will have another media parley in Kaduna, at their Africa Continental Hotel base, on Wednesday, June 10 at 11am ahead of the start of their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations campaign against Chad on Saturday, June 13.
Meanwhile, Kesh has directed that all invited players, apart from Aaron Samuel that has club commitments, report to camp in Abuja on or before midnight on Wednesday, June 3, 2015.
