Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has excluded Mikel Obi, Emmanuel Emenike and Elderson Echiejile from his 15-man overseas-based players squad for next month’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad in Kaduna.
Keshi however recalled Vincent Enyeama, who missed the international friendly against South Africa, and Rabiu Ibrahim, who has been out of reckoning for a long time.
There were also places for in-form Michael Babatunde and Leon Balogun, who helped Darmstadt gain promotion to the Bundesliga.
Keshi also called up Groningen defender William Troost-Ekong, Kingsley Madu of AS Trencin in Slovakia and Portugal-based Anderson Esiti.
