Stephen Keshi Applies For Burkina Faso Coaching Job

Like we all know Stephen Keshi has been out of contract as Super Eagles coach. Because of this contract “wahala” Stephen Keshi has signified is interest to coach the National team of Burkina Faso among with a group of well-known coaches also. According to the country FA president Colonel Sita Sangare.

Keshi, alongside Claude Le Roy, Alan Giresse, Gernort Rohr and Jacques Satini are all in the frame to replace Paul Put who was fired five days ago, after a poor cup of Nations outing in Equatorial Guinea, where they failed woefully compared to 2013 were they where runners up.

The 2013 AFCON runners-up only managed a single point in Group A, losing 0-2 to Gabon, before securing a goalless draw against Equatorial Guinea, and suffering another 1-2 defeat to Congo.

FA president Sita Sangare confirmed that a three man shortlist will be announced on Monday, 16th of February 2015, amidst reports former coach Paul Duarte is most likely to land the job.

However Keshi, who rejected claims by the Nigeria Football Federation that he has been offered a new deal to continue in his role as Super Eagles coach, has twice failed to secure coaching roles on the African continent, with South Africa and later Equatorial Guinea snubbing him.
