Former Nigeria international Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha has been named the new chairman of Delta State football.
The former Super Eagles captain replaces Amaju Pinnick, who is the current president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Before his appointment, Okocha was a member of the state football association and was considered based on his experience in football.
The former Bolton Wanderers and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, won the Africa Cup of Nations as a player in 1994 and the Olympics Gold in 1996.
