Warri Wolves and Nigeria defender Azubuike Egwuekwe is reported to have flown into London and is set to finalise a move to West Ham.

Sam Allardyce is looking to strengthen his backline as uncertainty continues to surround the future of Winston Reid who has yet to agree a new contract with the club.

Egwuekwe, has been one of the star performers for Warri Wolves and is ready to showcase his talents in the Premier League.

Reports claim that the talented defender is now holding talks with West Ham and could secure a £4m in the January transfer window.

Allardyce will not want to risk being left with just two senior central defenders at the end of the month if Reid secures a late move away from Upton Park.
