Head coach of Nigeria’s Under-23 football team, Samson Siasia has named 21 players including Oghenekaro Etebo and Tiongoli Tonbara to face Tunisia in a two-legged friendly.
Etebo plays for Warri Wolves while winger Tonbara is on the books of Bayelsa United.
The games, which will be held in Tunis, are to serve as tune-up matches for Nigeria’s under-23s as they shape up for the upcoming All Africa Games qualifiers.
Speaking shortly after making the list public, Siasia said the players who were selected, go the chance on merit as only those who shone brightest in the team’s training sessions made the cut.
Also in the squad are Bendel Insurance left-back Obanor Erhun, who has trained with the Super Eagles. Others are Ewenike Achibi Chibuike, Freedom Omofoman and Sunday Adetunji, all from NPFL clubs.
