Nigerian attacking midfielder, Kalu Uche, is expected to be officially announced as a Levante player in the coming days.
According to Spanish newspaper, Marca, the 32-year-old has reached an agreement with the Spanish La Liga outfit to join before the close of the transfer window this January from Qatari club, Al Rayyan SC.
Uche, who can also play as a forward, is waiting to terminate his contract with the Qatari club before travelling to Spain to complete his switch Les Granotes (The Frogs).
The Nigerian is also expected to claim a severance pay from the Qatari club before making a return to the Spanish La Liga.
Levante have turned to Uche, who has played at Almeria and Espanyol previously to resolve their goalscoring crisis this term in the Spanish top flight.
Lucas Alcaraz’s men have only managed to score 13 goals all season, and Uche looks like the man who could solve their scoring crisis considering his antecedents in the Spanish league while Almeria and Espanyol.
The Frogs are currently second from bottom in the Spanish La Liga standings with 16 points from 19 matches.
