This post is an opinion of one of our readers concerning the exclusion of Luis Suarez from the Ballon d’Or list. Please do note that anything written in this article does not represent what SoccerNet Nigeria stands for. I can’t fathom why Luis Suarez isn’t among the FIFA Ballon d’or shortlist, why? he didn’t score enough? assist? take on? gosh! compare to eden hazard who was in the list. The 2013/2014 season Suarez was the king of England. Though he didn’t win the league same as hazard. Didn’t he score at the world cup? of course he did, hazard didnt. In the Barclay’s premier league he was the highest goal scorer with 31 goals, hazard had only 14. In terms of creativity, Suarez had 13 assists while Hazard had 7. He won premier league most influential player with a total of 31 goals nd no penalty kick registered hazard scored 14 with 4 penalty kicks. He won PFA player of the year while hazard managed to win PFA young player. He also won FWA player of the year, golden boot and others I can’t recollect. But still he didn’t make it to the list while hazard did. Not only hazard was not up to his standard also some notable others in the list. All in the name of biting at the world cup which he was punished heavily for. And he apologized for doing that. FIFA worse.Author: Adeniran Yousasiph( @I_am_yousasiph)

What I think is that FIFA wants to use him as an example,so no one will do such again.
