Victor Osimhen transfer: Napoli to offer a discount to EPL club for Super Eagles star

Former Serie A champions Napoli are willing to give Manchester United a discount for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen in the summer, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen has been tipped to move to the Premier League for the past two years following his impressive performances. The 26-year-old striker was expected to leave last summer, but he did not get his move and had to join Galatasaray in a season-long loan after the transfer window in the top five leagues closed.

At Galatasaray, Osimhen has been brilliant, as he has chipped in with 28 goals and five assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.

The speculations surrounding Osimhen’s future have not stopped yet, as he has been linked with clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Juventus.

However, according to a report by the peoples person, the Partenopeans do not want Osimhen to join any of their rivals. So, that takes Juventus out of the picture. Osimhen is currently valued at €75 million, but in order to ensure that he does not join Juventus, Napoli are willing to give Manchester United a discount.

Recall that Napoli have a good relationship with Manchester United, as Scott McTominay switched between both clubs in the summer. So they should be able to do business in the summer.

Is Manchester United the best option for Victor Osimhen?

Manchester United are undergoing a transition at the moment. They have a new coach in Ruben Amorim, who is looking to make some changes to the team. They have strggled badly over the last three years and can’t even make Europe.

Also, Manchester United’s finances have been in the searchlight due to the downsizing going on at the club. The Red Devils may even have to make a big sale to finance a Victor Osimhen purchase.

But even if they are able to pay for Osimhen, he has to think twice before moving to Old Trafford, as most top talents have struggled tto reach their potential. Manchester Unitred has even been referred to a burial ground for football talents.

Also, the squad is low on quality. So, if Manchester United do not add some quality, Osimhen should think twice.
