Super Eagles and Bayer 04 Leverkusen attacker, Nathan Temitayo Tella, has revealed Die Werkself are not giving up the chance of winning the Bundesliga this season, Soccernet.ng reports.
Xabi Alonso’s side won the German league whilst remaining unbeaten through 34 games last season, but have struggled to replicate the same form this season.
With five league games left to play, Leverkusen are six points off league leaders, Bayern Munich who have accrued 69 points from 29 games.

“A six-point gap isn’t much in football. It’s up to us; we want to win as many games as possible and get to the top,” the former Burnley attacker said in quotes relayed by German outlet, BILD.
Since joining Leverkusen from Southampton in 2023, Tella hasn’t had a large run of games as a starter at the Bay Arena, although he features regularly as a squad player. With rumours about an exit starting to spin, the Nigerian made it clear he’s loving life in Leverkusen.
“I really like it here. When I came here, I didn’t know much about the club or German football, but even in the first two weeks, I really understood what it means to play for and represent this club. I have no reason to leave; I’m more than happy here. I want to stay,” the 25-year-old concluded.
