Super Eagles star changes agent as Bayern Munich, Man City, AC Milan circle for €20 million move

Super Eagles star Raphael Onyedika has changed his agency representation as he prepares for a high-profile summer move, with Manchester City and Bayern Munich reportedly among the clubs closely monitoring the Club Brugge midfielder, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 23-year-old, who has impressed in both the Belgian Pro League and Champions League, is widely expected to leave Brugge at the end of the season.

Onyedika, who joined the Belgian outfit from FC Midtjylland in 2022 for €10 million, has seen his market value rise steadily — now estimated at over €20 million on Transfermarkt — though Brugge are likely to demand more.

In a strategic career move, Onyedika has signed with CAA Stellar, one of Europe’s most prominent sports agencies, as per Voetbalkrant.

The move signals clear intent as the Nigerian star eyes a switch to one of Europe’s elite clubs. Sources close to the player suggest that he is now positioning himself for a major transfer, with Brugge reportedly open to a sale – provided their valuation is met.

Last summer, Galatasaray expressed interest but could not meet Brugge’s asking price. This time around, the circumstances are different.

Onyedika’s Champions League displays — including a standout goal against Manchester City — have put him firmly on the radar of top clubs, including AC Milan, FC Porto, Paris Saint-Germain, and Borussia Dortmund.

Club Brugge, meanwhile, are already planning for life after Onyedika. The Belgian side are pushing to keep Ardon Jashari for another year while also targeting Ludovit Reis as a long-term replacement.

Despite mounting speculation, Onyedika remains publicly cautious about his future.

Speaking to Sportsboom earlier this year, he said: “I don’t know what the future holds. At the moment, I am very happy at Club Brugge. I am focused on doing my best and helping the team.”

He added: “At the moment, I am fully committed to the present, and I have no further plans.”

Onyedika won the Belgian league title with Club Brugge last season and is playing a pivotal role as the champions remain in the race to retain their crown.

While at Club Brugge, Onyedika made his international debut for Nigeria and scored his first Super Eagles goal against Benin Republic during the World Cup qualifiers last year.
