Stuttgart and Leeds target Eric Chelle’s youngest Super Eagles invitee – Report

German Bundesliga side Stuttgart and English Championship club Leeds United are reportedly monitoring Young Nigerian midfielder Anthony Dennis, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 20-year-old Kaduna-born player have drawn suitors from European clubs following his impressive performances for Turkish Super League outfit Göztepe.

The young player have made three assists in 20 appearances for Southampton’s Sister club with his latest coming in their 2-2 draw against Samsunspor.

This has recently earned him his first-ever call-up to the Super Eagles under new head coach Eric Chelle. This also makes him the youngest player in the Malian-born tactician’s debut squad.

The midfielder’s versatility—capable of dictating play from central midfield and driving forward as a box-to-box operator—has made him a standout performer for Göztepe this season.

His consistency in the Turkish league has not gone unnoticed, with Stuttgart and Leeds are preparing to swoop for his signature in the summer transfer window, per reports from Africa Foot.

Dennis signed a contract extension with Göztepe in May last year, keeping him at the club until 2027. However, with European interest growing, the Turkish side could face a tough battle to retain their prized asset.

Dennis has been dubbed the long-term successor to Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi, and if he makes the final 23-man squad, he will be eager to impress in his maiden Super Eagles call-up.
