Three Super Lig giants have been made aware of the availability of the Super Eagles star days before the Turkey transfer window slams shut, Soccernet.ng reports.
Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas have been alerted to Samuel Chukwueze’s potential availability just days before the country’s transfer window closes.
The Nigerian winger could leave AC Milan for Turkey, adding to the growing list of Super Eagles stars in the Super Lig, if reports from Turkey are to be believed.
AC Milan insist they are happy to keep Chukwueze, but Turkish media continue to speculate about a possible move for the 25-year-old.
Besiktas have already registered interest, while Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have now also been informed by agents that he could be available.
Premier League side Fulham attempted but failed to sign Chukwueze on transfer deadline day, and with the transfer market still open in Turkey, Romania, Switzerland, Hungary, and Serbia, clubs continue to monitor his situation.
AC Milan sporting director Geoffrey Moncada has publicly dismissed rumours of Chukwueze leaving. Speaking via Football Italia before Milan’s Coppa Italia clash with Roma, Moncada stated:
“Chukwueze will stay with us. He’s another option on the right, and we are happy with him.”
Despite Milan’s stance, Turkish outlet Fotospor claims Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are considering late moves.
A switch to Galatasaray could reunite Chukwueze with his close friend Victor Osimhen, while the chance to play under José Mourinho at Fenerbahce is another tempting prospect.
Galatasaray have already signed AC Milan striker Álvaro Morata this January but are still in the market for a winger after Yunus Akgün suffered an injury on January 31.
Chukwueze’s future at Milan is uncertain following the club’s attacking reinforcements in January, with the arrivals of Sergio Conceição, João Félix, and Riccardo Sottil potentially limiting his playing time.
The former Villarreal star was an unused substitute in Milan’s 3-1 win over Roma in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals.
So far this season, Chukwueze has scored four goals and registered one assist in 25 appearances across all competitions.
