Nottingham Forest dream big! EPL title contenders enter race to sign Osimhen – Reports

Nottingham Forest have reportedly entered the race to sign Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen as they aim to strengthen their squad ahead of a potential return to the Champions League next season, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Reds currently sit in third place in the English Premier League standings, eight points behind league leaders Liverpool and five points ahead of Newcastle, who are in fifth. This position puts Forest on course for a return to the Champions League after a 44-year absence.

However, reports linking Osimhen away from Galatasaray in the January transfer window have been labelled false. The Nigerian striker is determined to stay with the Yellow-Reds until the end of the season, as he aims to win titles with the club.

Despite this, the Tricky Trees are preparing for potential Champions League participation next season and are reportedly keen on bolstering their attack. According to Area Napoli, Osimhen has been identified as a target to support Chris Woods in Forest’s frontline.

Osimhen has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Chelsea reportedly leading the race for his signature. Manchester United have also expressed interest in securing a striker to address their struggles.

Reports suggest that Osimhen has blocked any move from Napoli to sell him in January, making a transfer possible only after the 2024–25 campaign.

This sets up a competitive summer transfer window, with Nottingham Forest expected to rival Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea for the Nigerian’s signature.
