Napoli’s interest in Marcus Rashford could catalyze Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Manchester United

Napoli are interested in Manchester United star Marcus Rashford and may be open to a swap deal for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, Soccernet.ng reports.

Rashford has had a difficult time at Manchester United for the past three seasons. The Englishman was one of the best players in the world three years ago, but he has tailed off recently.

Rashford struggled under former Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag, and that has not changed since Ruben Amorim took charge of the club.

Rashford caused a stir some weeks ago after making comments that indicated that he was on his way out of Old Trafford. Since then, many clubs have been linked with the 25-year-old star.

According to Centre Devils, Napoli are big Rashford admirers of Rashford and want his services.

Meanwhile, recall that Osimhen has been seriously linked with Manchester United in recent weeks. This could provide a platform for all parties to get what they want.

Since both clubs have players they admirer on each end, they could settle for a swap deal. However, Osimhen is €20 million more expensive than Rashford. So Manchester United may have to add an extra fee to the deal to satisfy Napoli.

Nonetheless, it is unlikely that any deal will take place this month.
