Report: Chidera Ejuke set for swift return from hamstring injury

Super Eagles striker Chidera Ejuke is recovering well from his hamstring injury and will be ready to return to action by early February 2025, Soccernet.ng reports.

Ejuke has been impressive for Sevilla since he joined the club in a free transfer during the last summer transfer window. The Nigerian forward registered one goal in eight appearances for Sevilla before sustaining an injury in their La Liga loss against Barcelona. Upon further examination, he was confirmed to have suffered a severe hamstring injury.

That has kept him out of action for Sevilla since the last week of October, and he has missed six games since then.

Ejuke was initially billed to return to action in February 2025. And according to Vamos Sevilla, his recovery is going as planned. There were initial suggestions of a surgery due to the severity of the issue, but he has recovered well.

Nonetheless, the 26-year-old forward is still set to return to action by the start of February. This means that Ejuke will miss at least eight games before he returns to action.

Meanwhile, Sevilla currently sit 11th in La Liga, with 19 points after 15 games. They will be looking to climb up the table in the coming weeks.
