Alex Iwobi scored a goal of the highest quality as Fulham suffered a crushing 4-1 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Craven Cottage on Saturday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Iwobi curled a spectacular left-footed shot into the top far corner to hand Fulham the lead in the 220th minute of the encounter.
It was the Super Eagles midfielder’s third Premier League goal of the season and his 25th in the competition.
However, Wolves fought back progressively through a Matheus Cunha brace and further strikes from João Gomes and Gonçalo Guedes to secure only their second win of the campaign.
Elsewhere, Wilfred Ndidi was lucky to escape receiving a red card during Leicester City’s 2-1 loss against Chelsea.
Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina both featured for Nottingham Forest but there was no stopping Arsenal from cruising to a convincing 3-0 win.
Youngster Ethan Nwaneri rounded off the scoring for the Gunners, adding to early efforts from Thomas Partey and Bukayo Saka.
At The Hawthorns, Josh Maja continued his excellent early season form as he netted his 10th goal in 16 Championship games in West Brom’s 2-2 draw with Norwich City.
In Belgium, Raphael Onyedika hit his first goal of the season in the Jupiler League as Club Brugge strolled to a convincing 7-0 win over Sint-Truiden.
Young Greek forward Christos Tzolis bagged the first four goals in the game before Onyedika added the fifth as Ardon Jashari and Hans Vanaken added the other two.
In Turkey, David Okereke made it two goals in three Super Lig games to guide Gaziantep FK to a fine 3-0 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir.
Bright Osayi-Samuel impressed as Fenerbahce showed their superiority with a brilliant 6-2 win against Kayserispor.
