Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has shared his thoughts on Galatasaray’s strengths ahead of their Europa League clash, Soccernet.ng reports.
Postecoglou’s troops and the Turkish giants are slated to battle it out in their UEFA Europa League campaign, with the London-based club currently sitting second in the standings.
Ahead of the clash, the Tottenham boss noted that the Turkish side’s attacking prowess and physical strength will pose a real challenge for Spurs.
Postecoglou pointed out Galatasaray’s quality in the final third, noting the skill and individual ability of their forwards, including the prolific Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
“When you look at Galatasaray, they have a lot of threat in the front third, their attacking players are very good individually, they’re a strong team physically, so we’ll have to match the attacking threats they have with the way we play.” Postecoglou remarked.
With the match taking place at Galatasaray’s formidable Rams home stadium, Postecoglou acknowledged the influence of the club’s passionate fanbase.
He added: “Particularly here, at Galatasaray’s home stadium, with the fans behind them, there is a great energy in all their games. It’s a great test for us, but one we’re looking forward to.”
Despite Galatasaray’s home advantage, Postecoglou remains optimistic about Tottenham’s recent form, expressing hope that Spurs’ strong performance will create an exciting encounter for the home and visiting fans.
