Fenerbahce plotting massive heist for Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen has been impressive since he joined Galatasaray, and he has attracted interest from their close rivals

Former Turkish champions Fenerbahce have contacted Napoli over the possibility of signing Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen has been in red hot form for Galatasaray since he joined them during the summer transfer window. The Nigerian striker has produced four goals and four assists in seven appearances for the Lions, and he has quickly become a fan favorite.

Recall that Osimhen had to move to the Super Lig due to his inability to get a transfer to a club in the top five leagues. Now, it seems it may be a while before he even leaves Turkey.

Soccernet.ng had earlier reported that Galatasaray were planning a €50 million bid for Osimhen. But now, it seems like their close rivals Fenerbahce want to gate crash their party.

According to NeoxMedya, Fenerbahce have contacted Napoli over the possibility of signing Osimhen at the expiration of the deal.

Fenerbahce’s offer is currently unknown, but it would be a big heist if they manage to pull off the deal. Turkish club’s usually have a small budget for transfers, so it is unlikely that the deal will go through. Moreover, Osimhen’s wage demands would be a big burden for Fenerbahce.

Also, Osimhen would favour a move to a big club in the top five leagues, and if Napoli accept an offer, he would be keen to leave.
