Former Turkey international Sergen Yalcin has praised Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen for his impressive effect on Galatasaray since his transfer last summer, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osimhen has been brilliant for Galatasaray since his transfer to the club last summer. Initially, the transfer was shocking, as he was on the radar of top clubs like PSG, Manchester United.
Unfortunately for him, he was alienated from Napoli’s squad for the season after failing to complete a transfer. However, since his transfer to Galatasaray, he has been on fire.
Osimhen has registered eight goals and four assists in nine appearances. And since his move, the club have not lost any game. In fact, they have have played just two draws in all competitions this season.
Former Turkey international Yalcin, who played for Galatasaray has been quite impressed with how Galatasaray have been this season, and he believes Osimhen’s presence has played a big role in it.
“I didn’t know a player called Osimhen until I came here. Now I am watch him firsthand and paying attention,” Yalcin said.
“He is a complete center forward, an incredible transfer. I watch Galatasaray matches for Osimhen. I follow whether he will head the ball, whether he will do an overhead kick, or how he will serve.”
If Osimhen continues with his current goalscoring rate, he could seal a transfer to a top clubs at the end of the season.
