“They can’t stop us” – Osimhen relishes relationship with Argentine forward, eyes victory against Tottenham Hotspur

Victor Osimhen scored his fourth league goal of the season in Galatasaray's 2-1 win against Beşiktaş in the Istanbul derby last night.

Super Eagles and Galatasaray forward, Victor James Osimhen, has revealed his striking partnership with Mauro Icardi will become a force to be reckoned with in the Turkish Super Lïg, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 25-year-old scored his fourth league goal of the season in Galatasaray’s 2-1 win over Beşiktaş in the Istanbul derby last night.

Speaking after the game, the Napoli loanee expressed the confidence he has in Okan Buruk’s side. Osimhen mentioned he was sure of victory against Beşiktaş, and backed the RAMS Park faithful to defeat Ange Postecoglu’s Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.

“I said we would beat Beşiktaş, and we did. We will beat Tottenham too. I love Galatasaray and the fans so much. Our fans were incredible. They brought us the three points. We were playing well from the first moment to the last. We were up against a team with great talent. The goal contribution is valuable, I am happy, but it is more important for the team to win. We have to continue with this momentum,” the former LOSC Lille man said in quotes revealed by Star Spor.

Referring to the harmony between him and Icardi, Osimhen revealed it’ll be tough for any opposition to break his connection with the Argentine striker.

“Icardi and I understand each other very well. We work together in training. I know how experienced he is. I listen to what he says. It is an honor to play with Icardi. It is very difficult for any defense to block us. If they block me, he goes out, if they block him, I go out. They cannot stop us,” the former Wolfsburg man concluded.

Osimhen and Icardi have combined for a total of eleven goals in ten Super Lïg games this season.
