Watch: Galatasaray unveil Victor Osimhen in glamorous video

Reigning Turkish champions Galatasaray have shared a glamorous video on their page to officially announce the signing of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen’s transfer to Galatasaray has dominated the news in the past four days since his deadline day transfer to Chelsea fell through.

The 25-year-old striker seemed to be in a fix after his failed Chelsea transfer. Napoli were unwilling to accept him back into the fold and even gave his jersey number to Romelu Lukaku.

The only options available were to remain inactive at Napoli until January, move to a club in Saudi Arabia, or join a club outside the top five European leagues.

Eventually, Galatasaray offered a way out with a four-month loan deal that would keep him in Turkey till January.

The Turkish giants will also pay him his full wages until the end of the transfer. This move was greeted with a lot of fanfare by Galatasaray fans, and thousands of them lined the streets to welcome him to the club on Monday.

All the formalities for the transfer were concluded Tuesday. And on Wednesday, Galatasaray shared a beautiful video to announce the Nigerian striker.

Next up for Osimhen is the international break for Nigeria. However, it is expected that he will go straight into action once club football resumes next week.

Galatasaray’s next game is against Rizespor on September 14.
