Nigerian Afrobeats star Odumodublvck shared a video of himself and Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface before Bayer Leverkusen’s friendly game against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Odumodublvck has always shown his love for football on social media, sharing football posts and pictures of himself with Super Eagles stars. Moreover, his hit song ‘Declan Rice’ gave him the breakthrough and shot him to prominence.
Bayer Leverkusen traveled to the Emirates to play Arsenal on Wednesday in a pre-season friendly game, and Super Eagles striker Boniface traveled with Die Werkself. Recall that Odumodublvck also has a soft spot for Arsenal, especially since Declan Rice joined the club last summer.
However, before the game, Odumodublvck and popular Arsenal fan Kelechi Anyikude linked up in London.
Boniface looked very happy to see both of them, and they joined him in his hotel room before the game.
Unfortunately for Boniface, the fixture ended in a 4-1 drubbing for Bayer Leverkusen, with Oleksandr Zinchenko, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Jesus, and Kai Havertz all finding the net, while Adam Hlozek scored the consolation goal for Die Werkself.
Xabi Alonso still does not fully trust Boniface, as the Super Eagles star got just 29 minutes of action in the game. Nonetheless, that could still change before the start of the season.
