Former Remo Stars player set to secure starting role at Serie B’s Sampdoria – Reports

Former Remo Stars midfielder, Ebenezer Akinsamiro, has been linked with a move from the San Siro Stadium to join Sampdoria on loan, Soccernet.ng reports.

The move, as reported by Italian market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, suggests that the 19-year-old midfielder will likely join the Italian Serie B side on loan.

During the 2023 winter transfer window, Akinsamiro sealed a move to join the Nerazzurri, signing a lucrative four-year contract with the Italian giants.

In the 2022-23 season, his journey with the club saw a significant milestone when he was named as an unused substitute during Inter Milan’s triumphant Coppa Italia final against Fiorentina, where the team secured their ninth Coppa Italia title.

Akinsamiro’s awaited debut for the first team finally arrived on February 25, 2024, during a commanding 4-0 victory over Lecce in the league. He entered the field in the 76th minute, substituting Davide Frattesi, marking a promising start to his career with Inter Milan.

Meanwhile, his exit from San Siro to join another club for a season-long loan is aimed at gaining first-team experience and a regular spot on the team.

Neither Inter Milan, Sampdoria, nor Akinsamiro’s camp has commented on this update, but it is suggested that a loan move away from Milan could be beneficial.
