Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has shared a picture of himself with his former Chelsea teammates Tammy Abrahm and Fikayo Tomori, Soccernet.ng reports.
Aina has a decent campaign for Premier League side Nottingham Forest, registering one goal and one assist for the club. Following his performances, he was handed a one-year contract extension.
Unfortunately for the 27-year-old, he sustained an injury at the end of the season and was not called up for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin.
Well, Aina is already past that, as he, just like other Super Eagles stars are already enjoying their summer holidays after the long season.
In a social media post, Aina shared a picture of himself with his brother Jordan Aina, Roma star Abraham and AC Milan defender Tomori.
Interestingly, Aina, Tomori, and Abraham are all products of the Chelsea academy, but they failed to pin down a place at the club and had to leave. Aina left the London giants in 2019, while Tomori and Abraham left in 2021.
Also, all three players have Nigerian roots, but Tomori and Abraham play for the Three Lions of England, albeit they hardly get called up. They old look to enjoy their holidays before pre-season games start in July.
