Has Victor Osimhen played his last game for Napoli?

Osimhen played last against Bologna, and that could be his last game

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was missing from Napoli’s dramatic 2-2 draw against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemi Franchi, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen played all 90 minutes for Napoli in their previous 2-0 loss to Bologna. But after the game, the Super Eagles star had a muscle problem, the same problem he had for most of his time in Naples. Due to this injury, he missed Napoli’s Serie A cracker against Fiorentina.

However, Napoli are monitoring Osimhen’s situation, as they want him fit for their last game of the season against Lecce, which could decide if they will finish in a UEFA Conference League spot. But if Osimhen fails to recover fully, he would have to sit it out.

More importantly, fans will get to know if Osimhen will leave Napoli in the summer, with Chelsea and PSG interested in a deal. Usually, when players play their last game for a club, they walk round the pitch to show appreciation to the fans. If Osimhen does that, then it means that he will leave Napoli.

According to Napoli Magazine, Osimhen is already working on the pitch, but he is yet to reach full fitness. But while Napoli would be looking to exercise caution on Osimhen’s injury situation, the Nigerian striker will be looking to return to action as soon as possible and do a double against Lecce, as he already scored against them in the first leg.

But if Osimhen can’t make it, then the 2-0 loss to Bologna will be his last for Napoli.
