Report: Raphael Onyedika’s transfer to Crystal Palace could cost 26 billion Naira

Raphael Onyedika returned from International break to score three goals in four match appearances for Club Brugge

Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika is reportedly on the radar of English Premier League side Crystal Palace, as reported by Soccernet.ng.

Crystal Palace aims to reinforce their midfield and has been linked with Leicester City’s defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

Additionally, they have added a Club Brugge defensive midfielder to their transfer list for the upcoming summer transfer window, impressed by his recent performances.

According to The Sun, Crystal Palace is closely monitoring Onyedika’s situation in Belgium, with their sporting director Dougie Freedman reportedly personally scouting him. The scouts are said to be convinced of his abilities.

There is speculation that an offer from Selhurst Park could be imminent, pending the availability of the necessary resources.

Club Brugge has indicated a desired fee of at least 15 million euros, with some sources suggesting a figure as high as 20 million pounds, approximately 23 million euros—around 26 billion naira.

Onyedika joined FC Midtjylland in the summer of 2022 for nearly 10 million euros and has since made a significant impact for the Belgian side.

His recent form, including three goals in four appearances, has further increased interest in his services, with potential suitors expected to pursue him in the summer transfer window.
