Paul Onuachu’s actual return date from injury for Trabzonspor revealed

Super Eagles’ Paul Onuachu joined Trabzonspor from Southampton during the 2023 summer transfer window

Super Eagles and Southampton-owned attacker, Paul Onuachu, is poised to make a comeback after sustaining an injury during Trabzonspor’s 1-0 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir, as reported by Soccernet.ng.

Initially expected to rejoin the squad and be available for selection against Konyaspor after being spotted in training, Onuachu’s return was delayed due to incomplete recovery.

However, a recent report from Fotomac indicates that the Nigerian has resumed training with the team after a 50-day absence and is expected to be eligible for selection against Kayserispor.

On loan from EFL Championship side Southampton, the 29-year-old forward has remained focused on his rehabilitation to aid Trabzonspor in securing as many points as possible until the end of the season.

Currently placed third on the Turkish Süper Lig table, Trabzonspor sits four points ahead of Besiktas and is determined to finish the season strongly to secure a UEFA Europa League spot, as qualification for next season’s Champions League remains elusive.

Trabzonspor continues to gear up for the upcoming Super Lig matchday 33 fixture, scheduled to take place at the Kadir Has Stadium on Saturday.

The Nigerian international, who has scored nine goals and made three assists in his 17 domestic league appearances will be hoping to make an impact in his return from injury.
