“To the original StarBoy” – Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka signs shirt for Afrobeats star Wizkid after demolition of Liverpool

Ibrahima Konate was sent off in Liverpool’s top-of-the-table clash against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal as the Gunners came out on top at The Emirates.

England and Arsenal right winger, Bukayo Saka, signed a jersey for Afrobeat superstar, Wizkid, after The Gunners defeated Liverpool 3-1 in a scintillating clash at The Emirates, Soccernet.ng reports.

Saka, 22, broke the deadlock for the eighteen-time English Premier League Champions after a scuffed chance from Kai Havertz fell kindly to the Hale End graduate and he tapped into an empty goal.

An own goal from Gabriel Malhaedes levelled the scores for Jurgen Klopp’s men before Alisson’s errors became the undoing of the Merseysiders.

Miscommunication between the Brazilian and Virgil Van Dijk saw the goalkeeper scuff a clearance, leaving the goal gaping and Martinelli tapped home, before Leandro Trossard wrapped the game up in the final minutes of the game, sending the ball through the goalkeepers legs.

After the game, Saka, who is of Nigerian descent, met with Ayo Balogun, popularly referred to as Wizkid, and signed an Arsenal jersey for the Afrobeats crooner.

Coincidentally, both personalities are widely referred to as Starboy by their respective fan bases, but Saka pointed Wizkid out and called him the real Starboy.

Arsenal’s win last night sees them remain in second place on the English Premier League table, just two points below the opponents they faced yesterday.

It is worth noting that Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have played two games less than Liverpool and Arsenal this season and are five points off the first position.
