EPL: Super Eagles get positive update on Elijah Adebayo and Gabriel Osho

Elijah Adebayo has scored nine goals in the English Premier League for Luton Town this season, with Gabriel Osho also scoring two from the back.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have gotten a massive boost after a recent update showed that Luton Town duo, Elijah Adebayo and Gabriel Osho are open to playing for the Nigerian National team, Soccernet.ng reports.

Gabriel Adedayo Osho, 25, plays as a central defender or full-back for Luton, and was born in England, but is of Nigerian descent. He played a huge role in helping the Hatters gain promotion to the English top flight and has scored five goals in seventy-seven games for them.

Elijah Anuoluwapo Adebayo, 26, plays as a striker for Luton and has scored nine goals in the Premier League this season, including the famous hat-trick against Brighton and Hove Albion.

In a post published by UK-based Nigerian football administrator, David Doherty, it was revealed that both players are open to wearing the green and white colours of Nigeria.

Osho and Adebayo are yet to represent any country at any level, and the report mentions that both players have been fans of Nigerian football since they kicked off their careers in their teenage years.

Luton Town are currently 17th on the English Premier League table and are just a point away from the relegation spot with Sean Dyche’s Everton closely behind them.

Luton Town will play against Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday. The previous fixture at the Kenilworth Stadium ended in a 1-1 draw after Luis Diaz’s late equalizer sealed a point for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
