Following his dazzling display for Hellas Verona on Saturday, Michael Folorunsho has ignited discussions about his potential inclusion in the Nigerian national football team.
The 26-year-old midfielder, born in Italy to Nigerian parents, scored a wonder goal against Juventus that drew comparisons to Zinedine Zidane’s iconic strike against Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League final.
Folorunsho’s journey to this point has been marked by perseverance and determination.
After spending three years in Lazio’s youth academy without securing a senior team spot, he started his professional career at Virtus Francavilla in Serie C in 2017.

we are short of creativity and innovation and a midfield mafia in the middle of the park.
it does appear that he does not need a switch of Nationality approval by FIFA like Lesley Ugochukwu, Noni Madueke and others so all dat should be done is dat he should be convinced and once he agrees, a Naija passport shld be produced for him immediately...I am sure he has the quality to do well for Naija..playing and doing well in the Serie A confirms his quality...
