Yusuf was called in as a late replacement for Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, who will miss the AFCON after sustaining an injury.
Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has also arrived at the camp from his base in Cyprus. At the same time, South Africa-based shot-stopper Stanley Nwabili has also been welcomed to the Super Eagles camp in the United Arab Emirates.
After featuring in AC Milan’s Coppa Italia win over Cagliari, Samuel Chukwueze has also made his way to Abu Dhabi to join his international teammates.
Napoli striker and Africa Footballer of the Year Victor Osimhen is expected to arrive at the Super Eagles camp this morning (Thursday, January 4).
Super Eagles vice-captain William Troost-Ekong is also scheduled to land in camp later in the day from his base in Greece.
With Sadiq, Uzoho, Chukwueze, and Yusuf in the camp, the number of players available to head coach Jose Peseiro has risen to 22.
