Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi registered an assist for Fulham in thier 5-0 spanking of West Ham at Craven Cottage, Soccernet.ng.
Iwobi had a career-best performance last time out for Fulham, as he scored a brace in their 5-0 spanking of Nottingham Forest in midweek. It was his first-ever Premier League brace.
Iwobi made the lineup once again when Fulham welcomed West Ham to Craven Cottage. The game was supposed to be a tough one, but Fulham were just a notch higher in front of their fans.
Raul Jiminez opened the scoring for the Cottagers in the 22nd minute, converting a cross from Joao Palhinha with a fine header.
Nine minutes later, Willian linked nicely with Iwobi to produce the second goa. The Nigerian midfielder sent a precise pass to the Brazilian who was lurking in the box. Then, he placed a precise finish past Fabianski to give the Cottagers a cushion.
Then in the 41st minute, Fulham got their third via Nigeria-eligible defender Tosin Adarabioyo, who scored a header after connecting to a corner-kick.
Two second-half goals from Harry Wilson and Carlos Vinicius sealed the 5-0 win for Fulham.
Iwobi had a great game, and he was taken off in the 79th minute. The former Everton man 51 touches, two key passes, five goal attempts, and two tackles. Meanwhile, Calvin Bassey played all 90 minutes of action for Fulham.
