In the Premier League, Ganiu Ogungbe netted the winning goal for Sheikh Russel as they soared to a 2-1 home win over Sheikh Jamal.

BELGIUM

In the First Division A, Chidera Ejuke impressed while Alhassan Yusuf set up Antwerp’s late equaliser as the champions fought out a 2-2 draw with Westerlo.

Yira Sor and Tolu Arokodare were involved as Genk fell to a 2-1 defeat to Anderlecht.

ENGLAND

In the Championship, Tom Dele-Bashiru and Watford came from a goal down to hand a 2-1 defeat to Blackburn Rovers.

Wilfred Ndidi saw action for 70 minutes while Kelechi Iheanacho watched from the bench as Leicester City cruised to a 3-0 win over Rotherham United.

Joe Aribo was in his element as he helped Southampton claim a hard-fought 1-0 win away to Queens Park Rangers.

In the Premier League, Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi were involved from start to finish as Fulham were stunned into a home defeat after Burnley ran away with a 2-0 win at Craven Cottage.

Ola Aina’s introduction after the break did not stop 10-man Nottingham Forest from succumbing to a 2-3 loss to AFC Bournemouth, with Super Eagles-eligible Dominic Solanke netting all three goals for the visitors.

ITALY

In Serie A, Isaac Success and Udinese put up a hard fight to earn a 1-1 draw at Torino.

Ademola Lookman and Atalanta were shocked by a late Lewis Ferguson goal at Bologna as their guests clinched a fine 1-0 victory inside the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

Victor Osimhen was sent off as Napoli were shattered at AS Roma following a 2-0 loss.

SCOTLAND

Samson Lawal made his second appearance in the Premiership as his Livingston were defeated 2-0 by champions Celtic.

SOUTH AFRICA

In the Premier Soccer League, new Super Eagles invitee Stanley Nwabili received a yellow card and conceded twice as his Chippa United were humbled 2-1 at home by Polokwane City.

Goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi kept a clean sheet and helped Moroka Swallows earn a point following their goalless draw at Royal AM.

Orlando Pirates and Super Eagles defender Olisa Ndah suffered a 3-1 defeat at SuperSport United.

TURKEY

In the Turkish Super Liga, Paul Onuachu assisted Trabzonspor’s only goal in their 1-1 draw with Istanbul Basaksehir.

Aminu Umar opened the scoring for Tuzlaspor as they soared to a 2-0 win over Olanrewaju Kayode and Gençlerbirliği in their 1 Lig meeting.
