Watch: Man City’s Kelvin De Bruyne follows Müller’s footsteps, vibes to Rema’s ‘calm down’

With the release of “Calm Down,” which features American singer Selena Gomez, Rema, who burst onto the music scene in 2019 with his breakthrough hit “Dumebi,” has solidified his place in the music industry.

Manchester City’s standout player, Kevin De Bruyne, recently embraced the vibes of a hit track by Nigerian hip-hop sensation Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, Soccernet.ng reports.

Recently, Thomas Müller, the dynamic forward from Bayern Munich, showcased his dancing flair by grooving to “Calm Down,” a chart-topping hit.

The Belgian international has also joined in on the trend. In a video shared by Sports Bible, he was seen taking up a dancing challenge.

The video featured a well-known dancer, Noel Robinson, starting the rhythm by snatching a Manchester City jersey on the table. Soon after, De Bruyne joined in, showcasing his own dancing skills.

Rema, who stormed onto the music scene in 2019 with his breakout hit “Dumebi,” has entrenched his position in the industry with the release of “Calm Down,” featuring American singer Selena Gomez.

The song has achieved remarkable success, amassing over one billion streams on Spotify and gaining status as both a stadium and football club anthem.

Notably, former Manchester United star Patrice Evra was previously captured dancing to the infectious beat of “Calm Down,” underscoring the song’s global appeal.

At the recent 2023 Ballon d’Or ceremony, the Nigerian artist delivered a captivating performance of the song, becoming the first Nigerian artist to perform at such a prestigious event, entertaining numerous football stars in attendance.
