The Nigerian hitman is banging in the goals aplenty for Bayer Leverkusen, but he has a soft spot for a Premier League club
Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has revealed his admiration for former English Premier League champions Arsenal, Soccernet reports.
Boniface has taken Germany by storm since he sealed his transfer from Belgian side Royale Union Saint Gilloise in the summer.
The Nigerian striker impressed in his one-year stay in Belgium, but he has surpassed all expectations, contributing eight goals and three assists in games for Die Werkself.
His performances have attracted some of the big boys in Europe, with Manchester City rumoured to be keeping tabs on him.
However, Boniface may have his somewhere else, with another club in the Premier League. In a recent interview, per UEFA’s First and Last, the 22-year-old hitman revealed that the first club jersey he had as a youngster was the Arsenal jersey.
If Boniface continues with his brilliant displays, there is a big chance that he could be on his way out of Bayer Leverkusen and out of Germany.
Arsenal could be a good destination in future, but they would have to cough out top dollar to sign him. Meanwhile, Boniface is not the only Super Eagles player who has a thing for Arsenal. Fellow striker Taiwo Awoniyi is also an Arsenal fan.
