Onuachu was on target for Trabzonspor on his debut, but he could not finish the game
Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu will be fit enough to play for Trabzonspor when they play Hatayspor next Monday, despite an injury scare on his debut, Soccernet reports.
Onuachu had a debut to remember on Sunday, as he scored the opener for Trabzonspor in their 3-0 bashing of Besiktas at Papara Park.
The former Genk man jumped highest to connect with a perfectly weighted cross from Enis Bardhi and sent a well-placed header into the net.
Unfortunately, he sustained a knock after a tough tackle from Salih Can. He was then taken off just two minutes into the second half.
After the game, Onuachu stated that his injury was not serious, albeit he did not state how long he would be out.
It appears that he will not be out for long, as Sabah Spor reports that the Nigerian hitman will be back in action for Trabzonspor when they play Hatayspor next Monday.
Trabzonspor have won their last two games, and they would be looking to continue with their run. If he is fully fit, Onuachu would be expected to lead the attack again and spur them to victory in their sixth game of the season.
