Transfers: Tottenham eye promising Nigerian young talent to replace Harry Kane

Gift Orban has been one of the sought-after striker in Europe after a breakthrough season with Gent that saw him registered 20 goals in 22 appearances

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are considering a move for Nigeria and Gent striker Gift Orban should Harry Kane leaves to join Bayern Munich this summer, Soccernet.ng reports

The 30-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Germany in the colour of the Bavarians since the start of transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou’s side, who finished a distant 8th position in the Premier League last campaign, are reported to have made a list of their possible replacement for the Englishman.

Tottenham have identified Nottingham Forest striker Brennan Johnson as their primary target to replace Harry Kane, but manager Steve Cooper doesn’t want to sell Johnson, and this might push the London club to turn their attention toward Gift Orban, who has been identified as another target to replace the English striker according to Daily Mail.

Orban has been attracting suitors from Europe and Saudi Arabia after an impressive season in Belgium that saw netted 20 strikes in 22 appearances for Genk in his first six months with the club.

The 21-year-old has continued from where he left last season, scoring in the club’s friendly games and was also on target for his club as they claimed a 5-1 first leg advantage in the Europa Conference League before opening his Belgian Pro League account with a goal in Gent’s 3-2 victory over KV Kortrijk last weekend.
