Super Eagles sensation Samuel Chukwueze set to win first AC Milan title on debut

Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze is set to contend for his first trophy in Italy as he gears up to make his debut appearance against Monza this August, Soccernet.ng reports.

Following his move from Villarreal to AC Milan in July, Chukwueze etched his name as one of the most expensive Nigerian footballers in history, securing the transfer for an impressive €28 million (plus bonuses).

Despite Milan’s ongoing preseason tour, Chukwueze has been honing his skills at the Rossoneri sports center, diligently training alone due to bureaucratic visa-related issues that kept him in Italy while the rest of the squad travelled.

Living in a hotel, Chukwueze adheres to a disciplined routine – arriving at Milanello in the morning, training rigorously, and taking ample rest. All the while, he awaits the return of the Milan squad, slated for a few days from now.

As the team concludes their preseason tour with a friendly match against Barcelona at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on August 2, Chukwueze will likely spectate from the TV screen.

However, his sights are set on a grander stage – the Milan derby on August 8, when AC Milan will face Monza to compete for the prestigious Silvio Berlusconi Trophy. For Chukwueze, it is a golden opportunity to claim his first honours while wearing the iconic Milan shirt.

The excitement does not end there.
AC Milan’s Serie A campaign kicks off on August 21 with an away fixture against Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

Chukwueze, with newfound confidence and form, could play a vital role in Milan’s quest for success in the league.
