‘If he was my own brother’- Ogenyi Onazi offers clear advice on Osimhen’s transfer to Al-Hilal from Napoli

Saudi Pro League side, Al-Hilal, are looking to tempt Napoli and Victor Osimhen with a mega transfer deal that would hand the Nigerian a record-breaking transfer

Former Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has provided straightforward guidance concerning Al Hilal’s mega transfer proposal to entice Victor Osimhen to Saudi Arabia, Soccernet.ng reports.

At just 24 years old, Osimhen has captured the attention of numerous prominent European clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and with Asian side, Al Hilal actively attempting to allure Osimhen and Napoli with a lucrative offer.

Onazi, who recently signed with Asian team Kitchee, shared his thoughts during a conversation with Brila FM, indicating that he would advise Osimhen to seriously consider the Al Hilal proposition.

It’s worth noting that Onazi and Osimhen were recently seen enjoying card games together during Osimhen’s holiday visit to Lagos, Nigeria.

Having formed a close bond with the Nigerian international, Onazi expressed that footballers participate in the sport for financial gains, and he would encourage the Super Eagles talisman to prioritize the lucrative deal.

While some Nigerian football enthusiasts express concerns that Osimhen’s fame could wane if he joins the Saudi League, Onazi, aged 30, holds a contrasting viewpoint on the transfer. He firmly believes that Osimhen has the potential for even greater achievements by competing in the Saudi Pro League.

In his own words, Onazi stated, “If he were my own brother, to be frank, I would advise him to embrace this opportunity for financial growth. Football is driven by these opportunities, and he has the potential to achieve even more.”

Notably, Napoli has recently reached a verbal agreement with the Nigerian star regarding a prospective new contract. This could potentially dissuade Osimhen’s move to Al Hilal, potentially keeping him at Napoli for the upcoming four years.
